Tywon J GERMAN

Tywon German-Brown, widely known as “TJ” on the field, is currently advancing his expertise by pursuing certifications in sports nutrition and as a performance enhancement specialist. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and studied at both Northern Illinois University (NIU) and Virginia Union University. With over 5 years of leadership experience as a Site Supervisor at IDEMIA, Tywon has built a solid foundation in responsibility, discipline, and organizational management. He is also a certified personal trainer, focusing on athletic performance and youth development.

Tywon’s football journey began at Central High School in Providence, Rhode Island, where he earned a partial football scholarship to NIU. In 2006, he attended professional tryouts with notable teams, including the New York Dragons, Indianapolis Colts, Philadelphia Galaxy, and Hartford Colonials. He went on to play semi-pro football for 4 years with the Mansfield Rage and later found his true home with the Worcester Wildcats, proudly wearing jersey #84.

Following his playing career, Tywon transitioned into coaching, bringing his real-world experience and passion to youth sports. He coached youth flag football in the Windsor, CT, league for five years and later continued coaching at Putnam High School. His coaching philosophy is rooted in a lifelong dedication to learning and a deep love for the game—especially the wide receiver position. He credits his growth and knowledge to mentorship from NFL legends Hubie Bryant, David Meggett, and Philip Anderson, all of whom played a key role in shaping his journey on and off the field.
